"Abte gaba rabtaah, abto raqtah" (the artist disappears and the work survives) say the Afars, but we have to transcribe it to ensure its survival. It is in this spirit that the idea of Feera took its germ and become reality.

This is a platform that collects and transcribes all oral production in the Afar language and thus preserves our cultural and artistic heritage.
